CHEESE CELLAR DAIRY

A decade of cheesemaking

January 2026

This year marks a truly special milestone for us - 10 years of our cheese cellar dairy. A decade of passion, dedication, creativity, and a deep love for artisan cheesemaking. Our story began in 2016, when our Head Cheesemaker George and our Purchasing Director Nicky Philip brought a shared vision to life: to create exceptional goat’s cheese rooted in traditional methods, craftsmanship, and character. From the very beginning, this wasn’t just about making cheese - it was about building something meaningful, honest, and proudly artisan. Even the names of our cheeses were born from that same spirit of care and creativity. Together, George and Nicky named each of our goat’s cheeses - Ashlynn, Clara, Blanche, Luna, and Trufflyn - each with its own identity, personality, and story, just like the people behind them. In recent years, the family has grown with the addition of Greta, our cow’s curd, Delilah, a rich triple-cream cheese, and a new goat’s curd, further expanding the collection with even more character

FROM TRAINING TO TRADITION

George’s journey into cheesemaking began at the School of Artisan Food, where he developed his foundations in the world of cheese. From there, his training took him to France, where he immersed himself in traditional French cheesemaking in the Loire Valley, learning the time-honoured techniques, methods, and philosophies that now shape our dairy today. That blend of British artisan training and French tradition remains at the heart of everything we do - combining precision, patience, and passion in every single batch.

A DECADE OF RECOGNITION

Over the past ten years, we’ve been incredibly proud to receive recognition from some of the most respected names in the industry, including: Great Taste Awards, World Cheese Awards and British Artisan Cheese Awards.


TRUSTED PARTNERSHIPS

We’re also proud of the relationships we’ve built along the way. From working with Waitrose to supplying top restaurants and hotels, our cheeses now reach tables across the country - served by chefs and hospitality teams who value provenance, flavour, and authenticity as much as we do.

LOOKING AHEAD

As we celebrate our 10th year, we’re filled with gratitude - for our team, our partners, our customers, and everyone who has supported us along the way. What started as a vision in 2016 has grown into a dairy defined by quality and community.

JULIENNE BRUNO

A new chapter begins

November 2025

Harvey & Brockless is pleased to announce an important development in our business. We have now acquired the assets of JULIENNE BRUNO® with immediate effect, with a view to ensuring that the Julienne Bruno products which customers know and love will continue into the future. 

 

Julienne Bruno has built an incredible reputation for its award-winning plant-based products, and we are very proud to bring this inspiring, market-leading brand into our portfolio. 

 

As part of this acquisition, the business will be relocating, and the Julienne Bruno production lines will be established in a brand-new facility at Harvey and Brockless. This means there will be temporary disruption across all product lines, but we anticipate that production will be fully up and running again in the new year.

 

We understand this may come as unexpected news for existing customers and partners of Julienne Bruno, and we want to reassure you that our teams are working hard to make this transition as smooth and swift as possible.


We are excited about the future of Julienne Bruno under Harvey and Brockless and The Compleat Food Group  and we look forward to bringing these exceptional plant-based products back to you very soon.
